| A 1200mm WaStop check valve is currently being installed in Karlshamn, Sweden. The purpose of this installation is to prevent sea water forcing into storm water pipes during periods of high water levels. |
|

The concrete pipe which leads stormwater from the southern part of Karlshamn out to the Baltic sea has been adapted to prevent back flow from the sea into the storm water pipes during periods of high water levels. The concrete pipe was cut to allow simple and water tight installation of the customised WaStop. The installation was then finished with a customised acid-resistant flange. Three smaller WaStop valves were built into the unit to prevent damming. Wapro AB and WaStop International AB are able to fully customise WaStop solutions to suit individual requirements.
